Biography of Eric Lee, B.A. (Hons), PGDE(Distinction), A.Dip.A. (1st Class Honours), Principal Coach and Director
Multiple-award winner and educator in both the academic teaching field as well as in the aesthetics arena, former Head of Department for Student Development at Raffles Junior College.
Awarded Distinction for Teaching Excellence in the Post Graduate Diploma of Education (PGDE Distinction, NIE). Awarded the First Prize in the Inter-JC-Ednovation Competition on Innovation and Enterprise. Taught at top state sixth-form college at Cambridge, UK.
Nominated for the Singapore President Teachers Award (SPTA), the highest accolade in Singapore for overall excellence in teaching, subject mastery and nurturing the whole child.
Written, arranged and produced three critically acclaimed, contemporary gospel albums ‘Here I Am’, ‘Lead Us On’ and ‘Unconditional’ which have sold more than 10000 copies so far in the region. Songs are played, aired and translated in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, South Africa and the US.
Overall Champion of the Taiwan Young Stars Music Competition, sweeping all awards including ‘Overall Champion’, ‘Best Arrangement’, ‘Best Composition’, ‘Honourable Mention’, beating bands from Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.Clinched record deal with Rock Records (Taiwan)

Founder of Music Improvisation Collective (MIC), Singapore, a community-based organisation dedicated to the nurturing, research and education of music improvisation and to bring the love of improvisation and jazz to the community. MIC has conducted numerous workshops, clinics, performances, etc. throughout Singapore, including ‘Jazz for Curious Listeners’ Series, Jazz for You and Me, Jazz@AMK, Jazz@Punggol, Jazz@Pasir Ris, Jazz@Toa Payoh, Pop Band Improvisation Mentorship Programme Series, Jazz@Kallang, Jazz@Yishun, etc. MIC has also performed at numerous jazz events and festivals including Esplanade’s Jazz in July Series, Blujaz, Tampines Festive Theatre, etc.

Music students include professional music teachers, choir conductors, church band members, sound engineers, school students, working adults, retirees and full time music students studying in music colleges. Vocal masterclass coach for numerous organisations, churches, including Voice of McDonald’s Asia Pacific/Australasia region.
Professional pianist/vocalist experiences at the Raffles Hotel, The Esplanade, Marriot Hotel,Hotel Intercontinental, Regent, Shangri-la, Chijmes, Blujaz and numerous other venues. Lounge piano/vocal performing experiences at Cambridge, Oxford, Manchester (UK), Los Angeles (US), Shanghai (China) and Gyeongju (S.Korea).
